woohoo samuel is feeling gooooooood.
cause there was perc outing today! yeaaaaah.
okay we were supposed to meet at 10 at dhoby ghaut. i arrived ON THE DOT, and i realised there wasn't anyone there. plus mengjit called me to say they'll all be late. haha so i waited there for like 40 minutes! gah a whopping FORTY MINUTES, stoning at the mrt platform! lol then later i realised i was at the wrong platform! haha rofl they were all waiting at an upper platform quite a distance away! lol dhoby ghaut's confusing layout. sheesh. okay so yeah quite dumb luh -.-
so we went to vivo first, slacked around cause we couldn't decide what to do haha. roamed until it was lunchtime, and headed to Carl's Jnr for lunch! lol it's like my second time eating carls at the same outlet within a month! sheeeeesh. but anw carls good, so yeah no complains lol.
at first they didnt want to go to sentosa (we were supposed to), but lol we were all in slippers and ching chiong attire, so i guess we couldn't go elsewhere haha.
so anw ori had phree passes to sentosa! and some other privileges and discounts that come with it. so.... we decided to take the CABLE CARRRRRRRR! rofl im making it sound like some sacred thing. but yer it's like uber cool man! we got a to and fro ride for like seven bucks, discounted! okay we had to take a lift all the way up to the fifteenth storey, and there the cable cars were! hm on first sight, they weren't as impressive as i thought lol. they looked pretty old and run-down, but ack i didnt bother much.
took 2 cabins, with me sharing one with brina lynnette mengjit and biingyih. lol LUCKY US cause we're all skinny people so we didn't have to squeeeeze much, plus, the other cabin had kokjian, who took great pleasure in rocking the whole cabin. haha. what a joker.
it was pretty scary at first, cause as i said, the cable cars looked kinda old, so of course, you wouldn't put much trust in that silly box, attached to some uber thin-looking wires at the top. hmm. lol the scary part was when we were leaving the building and out into the open! but anyway i have to say, the view is awesome! yeah unobstructed bird's eye view of like the ENTIRE southern area! only thing there was too much construction going on below, it was kinda an eyesore lol.
yer the ride lasted a few minutes, and we reluctantly, or rather I reluctantly got off the cable car and got into sentosa. hoho.
mm okay so sentosa is so touristy, like the first thing we had to pass through was a souvenir shop -.- lol. nice one man.
the place is pretty cool, tons of greenery and stuff. but anw we took a bus down to the beach immediately lol. great.
bought some silly volleyball which is such a rip off.. sheesh. but many thanks to jitrui, cause he bought it =D yer so we had some games of monkey and captain's and basketball. haha. super tiring la. we had a game with some strangers lol. almost got pwned. eh stop grinning. i said ALMOST. means we won =D haha then later came some cheena buncha guys. stoopid buff guys think their body damn sexy only means they're good luh. LOL kay but anw we got pooned real bad. haha!
anyway the basketball drained all of us and we just stoned around till like 5+. then i bought this rip off bottle of sprite and mineral water for like 2.90 each. wth, is the bottle like gold flaked or what? lol but anw i didnt really care cause i was too thirsty to bother. like my throat was gonna jump out and beg for water. haha.

oh yer. and it HAD to rain! sheeesh. but good thing it wasn't heavy for long. =) so we umbrella-ed back to the bus and back to cable car! lol. shucks im still thinking of the cable car now. haha.
we should have a 14/08 outing to sentosa too lol. that'll be pretty fun aye ;)

zz. for now, my feet are already half-baked and half-rotten. haha rofl.
it'll be a study day for me tmr! woots finally. =))

gah my group had intensive pee-dubbing for the past few days.
haha yer i dont really need to explain much, but our gpp got pretty screwed after the consultation with Mr Chung.
lol the feeling sucks man. it's like we've changed our entire idea for the fourth time already! gah.
so day before yesterday we had our discussion at macs. eurgh macs. it was pretty slowwwww luh, but thankfully we did manage to sort out our idea =)
haha and reuben's many heart attacks. lol funny sia.
and not forgetting elizabeth's evil mixture of all the McDonald's sauces!
sheesh i cant believe i believed her! lol.

yesterday we had another session of pee-dubbing. lol. got our letters of proposals =)
then we had MONOPOLY after our lessons! double woots yer! it was like my first time playing monopoly luh. haha.
woots i tell you it's like uber fun! haha keep buying land and property and upgrade and upgrade and upgrade. woohoo.
heh mayb ive got some beginners luck luh, managed to get like 4 houses on each plot of land ;) woots.
and not forgetting Narin and Raynaldo getting high just spectating too! hah u should have seen them prancing around and cheering over monopoly lol. haha narin's like super spas!

okay the holidays aren't starting that well, cause i aint starting work as ive planned to. lol! someone give me motivation yo! :D

i went to some arts festival performance thingo at Boat Quay with Teo-Teo!
it was terribly crowded, and as you know all those kiasu Singaporeans, they just HAVE to push their way through everyone and get to their desired spot. -.-
gah, i detest kiasu-ism; it's like the worst thing you can get from all those stoopid aunties =/
anw it was kinda boring at first.. nothing very interesting, it was just a display of some floats. BUT, there were fireworks! yeahhh it was uber great. haha like some ndp lol, all the colours lit up the sky and enveloped the skies above boat quay.
ive never been this close to fireworks before anw, so yeah it's a thrilling experience. and rofl i was trying to watch the display AND take pictures at the same time. so my eyeballs were like splitting lol!

Mardi Gras 2008 was a blast!
woots i didnt expect it to be such a big event.
but anw it's like uber happening man ;)

us perc had to get ready for our performance before the actual event started, and gosh, it was friggin tiring shifting our instruments from the band room to the office and then up the stage and after that back down. sheesh ive never shifted so many instruments over a few days! hah my arms are like aching now. =/
okay so the opening ceremony was kinda cool, with all the stuff parading around the track. there were like tons of costumed-people dressed up as various characters. turned out to be more like some cos play rofl.
shortly after it began, we had our very last performance together.. perc, that is. :(
good thing there weren't any major screw ups hehh. thn we had to shift everything back to the band room again. sheeeesh. by then i was like 3/4 drained already, but somehow managed to get myself all hyped up for the other performances around the school lol.
so yer went around watching all the preformances like the jazz and rock bands. oh yer Caracal performed too. some singapore band lol. all the energy around the entire campus was just great :D including the stalls too, they were all busy promoting their stuff and collecting money. HAH.
helped out at my stall towards the end. hmm there was alot of waffle mixture left. =/ means we didnt sell that much yeah. but anw ice cream is good lol, i helped myself to a cup haha. we actually almost managed to finish selling them, which is pretty good yeah =)
we'll see how much we've earned soon! uh, if we made any profits, that is. haha.

anw im prettyy rusty in terms of drumming lol. took the oppurtunity to whack arnd a lil while there wasn't anyone in the band room. okay there was only kwang yi, lol.
but yer i feel uber good after practising my strokes again :)
i wish i had my own kit at home. ack.
well anw jitrui came later and we started listening to liquid tension experiment. gosh their pieces are just great all way through. they never fail to amaze me lol.
even those parts where ive no idea what's going on, it's the chim-ness that wows me. haha!
yer im soooooo gonna learn biaxident. =p

ohh then we took a ride on the back of a lorry all the way to ang mo kio sec, with a marimba as company ;) yer we were returning it to them you see. so anw the ride was pretty bumpy, but breezy and entertaining at the same time. rofl waving to random people on the streets is pretty fun aye.
when we reached we had to lug the whole marimba up three whole stories =/ good thing it aint a heavy one.
and wow i love their band room, cause it's the most spacious secondary school band room that ive ever seen! yer all the band rooms are pretty small (including tj's, lol), but amkss' has no lack of room! haha i bet you could fit two bands in there.
we slacked around in the room for awhile, enjoying the super cold aircon which they forgot to switch off. lol.
on the way to the canteen we got a thousand and one stares from all the students we passed along the way. sheesh.
well we didnt stay for long, we walked over to AMK hub, grabbed some food and cabbed back =D

gah. it's been friggin hot these few days, it's like sauna at home. zz. i wish it were december now, so i'd get the rain everyday lol. and there's christmas too!

it was a day out with binz huiyi yingsi shirley aloy junhan and mingxuan!
lol we were supposed to go to sentosa but somehow we landed up at vivo
somehow im amazed at vivo each time i go there cause there's like a thousand and one shops, you could window shop for a whole day lol.
anw we had carls for dinner. yay carls is gooooooood.
after that we headed to the roof. uh, the open area yeah.
and we yakked and camwhored all the way through hehh.
oh, bravo mingxuan! :D
anw the rooftop is filled with a dozen couples who cant wait to get their arms around each other. what a sight lol.

i went to collect my testimonial today
and whoaw i gota say it's pretty impressive aye!
haha just looking at the grades and achievements and testimonial really gave me a sense of accomplishment.
hm id say my cca record gives me more pleasure than my academic (LOL!) cause it was band that was sorta the highlight of my entire secondary school life.
yer it was because of band that i got screwed so many times by many different people.
still remember when i was in lower sec my parents were like terribly against myband activities cause they were taking up too much time. hm i dont really wanna elaborate all that has happened and it's consequences and stuff lol. but lesson learnt: band and parents dont mix. it seriously gave me hell trying to satisfy both sides' requirements, but im so glad i didnt give up on band cause of a thousand other factors and become some ponner, cause without AHband, i doubt id have even come close to my achievements up to date. the leadership experiences (treasurer & SL, which i totally enjoy!), the super-bonded batch (especially perc, WOOTS) and a whole ton of other stuff/qualities wdv that i picked up from band is simply and definitely wonderfully enriching :D woots.
so yer i dropped in to the band room for a lil visit!
haha somehow the view of the humongous TREE right outside our band room is sorta reminiscent of my past.. lol
but anw, the condition of the band aint that good i'd say. hm i was sorta disappointed luh. it's like the whole atmosphere wasn't right. everyone everywhr was like in the dullest mood ever. yer there wasn't much life arnd the entire band room area somehow. lol.
ack. all the hype and liveliness of band is like gone. gone! aah!

seriously, that's one of the most enjoyable concerts i've ever had =)
double woots!
hm everything was just great luh. from beginning to end.
hah most of us were fretting and almost going nutz right before the concert started, but lol it wasn't that bad afterall. tommy kokjian & jitrui were crapping backstage, and that lightened the mood by ALOT lol.
anw i only had spirited away for the first half, and i'd say well done, im so relieved i didnt screw that lol =)) woots.
the rest were pretty okay, except robin hood. ack. still didnt manage to get it right. gah. and that sucks =/
and BINGO! sheesh it was a success man, and im so glad :D haha there was kok jian to spice up the whole samba, boy is he real goooood. lol good thing i was mentally prepared that he was gonna do his lil dance up there, if not i'd have cracked up during the samba ROFL. i so darn love our perc ensemble, and all the hard work we put in certainly paid off! =DD
and so was stageband! hah it was a totally different feeling while we were doing the actual thing. those 15 minutes were the minutes that the entire j1 batch slogged their guts out for, quarrelled over, and got together for. though i may not be at all supportive of all the pracs and stuff, but i do feel an overwhelming sense of achievement. and i bet the stageband comm would too =)
and yer many many many thanks to all those who came to support our concert too! it was really great to see familiar faces in the audience yer! well i hope y'all enjoyed the concert as much as i did! woots.
so yer there goes prelude 28, it's such a bittersweet feeling. the j2s are leaving too, and we've only spent like 4 months with them. gah how sad. i guess ill miss them , their guidance, their crappiness and everyth. haha.
well i gotta thank the whole buncha j2s for being such wonderful seniors, they've really made my band life a realllly enjoyable one!

for now it's back to doing tutorials everyday.zzzzz. no more using band as an excuse, haha!
and chinese is such a killjoy. =/ it just ruined my mood today.

yeah come to think of it, it's pretty fast. everything's gonna be over in less than 24 hrs.
seriously speaking, this is the hiongest ive ever been for band!
haha especially this whole week, where we practically stayed till like 11 EVERYDAY.
sheesh it's totally tiring i'd say, yeah.
i think ill officially declare myself pruned LOL.
yer but i keep dozing off during lectures these few days haha.
but anyways, thanks God that i managed to last till now, cause i think i would have fallen terribly sick from the serious lack of rest or smth. haha :)

sweet, today is a sunday!
lunched with glenn today, uhm a very much postponed birthday celebration lol.
okay it wasn't much of a celebration haha.
anw we went to astons. ooh..
yer it's my first time there. i mean hey the queue there always snakes its way all the way down the walkway, so my family and i never really bothered haha.
but today i was early! i was like there before it opened luh -.- but no i aint that kiasu, it's cause i didnt know it opened that late. lol.
okay so yer we made it into astons. first impressions, id say im totally not impressed at all. hah. after all the big whooha and fancy reports and whatnots, i was expecting smth pretty glam and stuff, but lol id give it just a lil notch above average.
kay but that aint the point. main thing is the foooooooood. heheh.
well i ordered a DOUBLE UP CHICKEN, not realising the meaning of double up HAHA.
woe to me, but at the same time, to my advantage, i had two humongous chunks of chicken in my face before i knew it.
and that was not all, i had two sides which were rice and mashed potato, so yer all the carbo was sorta exploding in my face haha.
but woot, i managed to stuff in the very last crumb of those two ill-fated chickens wahah. too bad for em. lol never underestimate samuel when it comes to food! (hope this doesn't make me sound like some greedy pigamoo)
so yer anw in the meantime glenn and i were yakking away, okay mainly him luh, i was concentrating on me chikkin u see.. yeah so he was telling me about some pretty interesting school experiences he's had. haha. gosh i tell you, he's always got a whole ton of stories that u'd think only come from 50-year old chers relating their old nostalgic stories to you. rofl.
well id say im pretty surprised at some, or rather, most of the stuff he did. haha. but it's super entertaining to listen to his stories heheh.
oh and some bugger waiter couldnt be more obvious by clearing our plates and glasses the moment we emptied them! stoooopid.
but overall, food's good. and that's all that matters! woot.

on the way to church i saw mrs lee! whoaw my ex bio cher. i think she attends my church too eh. she sorta greeted by way of a smile when we passed, and i was wondering whether she recognised me LOL. i mean, she's never even called my name once in class, besides when returning scripts lol. so i was pretty surprised she seemed to recognise me :D
and yer service was as usual, as intriguing as usual. HAHA dont laugh, i just think it is! rofl.
