TRANSFORMERSSSS TWOOOO deserved all the hype it received, but only for the visuals.
the whole movie was practically blasting everything in sight.

total awesomeness all the way through man :D

loved every single bit of it!

gratz to both categories' winners - Voodoo Drums and Zhenghua Sec!

they were really great, lots of energy and hype, full of perc goodness. haha.

not sure if we were expecting to win, cause Groovebox had a totally different style from the rest!

yeah the other teams were mainly samba-based all through.

tons of hype and showmanship!

but ours had more arrangements and technical things, even the judges realised that :D

haha i guess it's because we're the only team from a symphonic band.

the rest are just percussion groups on their own.

great fun to watch how different groups piece their arrangements together, much to learn!

anyway, im extremely proud of my team for being so different and doing a good one at that!

gee i dont know man, but my perc team is just so brilliant :D :D :D

had Drumzout auditions today!

the trip there was tenthousandtimes longer than our playing time!

it was over in 3 mins lol.

jeebers NTU is such an ulu pandan place!

i doubt id even want to consider going there for my uni.

well the auditions were okay only i thought.

had better run-throughs in the band room, but not bad, considering we only had 3 practices before today's auditions!

for that feat alone, i congratulate my section!

haha no worries whether we make it through or not (cause we've got our tees already)!

whoaw i havent been home for more than 8 hours for the past two weeks!

literally everyday, including tmr, Sunday!

yup rehearsal at RP in the afternoon.

i aint in the slightest bit of mood to revise for the upcoming tests next week!

it's been a tiring week!
both in school and in band D:
chem's crystallisation was a total flop, which was part frustrating and part hilarious.
cause poopryl and i kinda messed up our procedures, and we took like half an hour extra just to produce our cystals!
and when we got them i used my super effective method of drying them by punching the filter paper with my fist :D
and low and behold the very last bit of crystals that we managed to squeeze out from that bugger solution got powdered right into the filter paper!
hahaha we should have just weighed that darn filter paper there and then =/

oh and we have a total spammage of perc juniors!
i reckon if ALL of them were to sign up we'd have about 9 juniors lol.
but there are some exceptional ones, and im pretty glad that there's a few brimming with potential! :D
hoho but now saxes and trumpets have a shortage!

and then there's road run on friday.
gee im quite surprised that i managed to run the entire route, stopping only once!

but rofl i think i brisk-walk faster than i jog -.-
and when i completed the run, i was told that my position was 92!
wah shock!
i was quite happy till i asked some of the class guys and realised that it's probably 192 or 292.

carnival madness! :D

yup we had a cny carnival today, which was a blast not because they had -.- programmes lined up for us or that they a really blown up event about the YOG, but because i had a blast tending the band stall!

we had funky games, but the tuba one was the most attractive, hoho.

pretty hilarious to see all the participants blowing their lungs out just to get a tuba-fountain :D

our drinks stall made the most money anw!

many thanks to all who helped out!

my class stall was a total blast too with the nachos + cheese.

gee it was a hotseller and we ran out of nachos in no time!

hah and not forgetting to mention the 6 whole tins of cheese which cost a whopping $101.65, they were wiped out too!

so much for all the debate about whether we could sell that much (:

we collected a total revenue of $605.00, which ultra duber exceeded our expectations haha!

i almost died of shock this morning!

i was sleeping, enjoying the extra hour of sleep due to school starting late in lieu of GGD!

and i dreamt that there was a fire two units below my house :O

anyway first two days of school had been really great!

gee i didnt have time to arrange my set properly, and as a result i had to stretch really really far to get to the cymbals heh.

yer the rehearsal was like so-so only, nth spectacular.

and for no apparent reason i got pretty high after that lol.

oh, i think it was the balloons. gee the band room turned into a mini carnival station for the day cause it was practically filled with thousands of balloons for open house the next day :D

hung the band banner with chiyung and junhan too! haha we chose a strategic spot where everyone would look.

but lmao after that the wind got too strong and the banner got ripped off at one corner -.-

yer then came tuesday which was our open house!

hah i think it's quite happening, with all the performances and stuff.

just that we could do with more people attending our open house lol.

so yer we had a booth at the arts hub which was rarely visited, but managed to get a couple of contacts for band. gee.

and the performances just got more tiring cause we had two combined sessions =/

good thing i didnt arrage for 3 LOL.

23rd was a blast cause we had a lil perc Christmas partay at Grace's house!

it's super out of the way and in some ulu pandan region in singapore that totally doesn't look like singapore anymore.

gee. vanessa and i got lost the first thing we alighted from the bus like LOL.

it's the dedap road i tell you. it's DECEIVING! :@

but thankfully we were saved by two kind souls (grace and mj)

purchased our partay gear (B&Js and drinks) from an "in-the-middle-of-nowhere-malaysia-lookalike-minimart" and headed to her house!

spammed pictionary which was ultra hilarious.. you should have a look at all the crazy things we drew!

food was great too. i liked the potato salad cause there were generous bacon toppings LOL!

im really looking forward to it, cause i think our repertoire is quite interesting!

had a whopping rehearsal today!

woke up EARLIER than usual to get that lee min hui to wake up early to reach band EARLY, but jeebers we all landed up late, tgt with gino!

shifted all our wonderful percussion instruments to the audi once i got there, and gee that kinda tired me out already LOL.

woots, im finally back in civilisation!

had camp from friday to sunday, and now everything around me is collecting dust lol.

seriously, i sorta lost all contact with the outside world for that couple of days!

but anyways camp was half cool and half not.

great because everyone said that it was better than the previous years' camps!

hah well done, well done.

and the other half not is because i was hungry 24/7 and feeling fuzzy all over haha.

we had prac and prac and more prac on the first day, like 3 times in a single day.

gee i bet all their lips were on the verge of dropping off at the end of the day!

but yer night prac is kinda fun, just that it's freezing cold in the band room.

games with the raw chikkin was funny as well, and there were chikkin splats everywhere after that lmao (:

eh and i hate the cold showers that dont help the least bit when you're already cold to the bones on a cold rainy day =/

2nd night was terrible as i couldn't sleep and i felt like puking full force and there was a ton of wind in my stomach haha!

k it was such a weird night and i thought my stomach would flip out anytime lol =/

jeeebers, by the third day most of us were already zonked out from partying the previous nights away, but thankfully we still managed to pull through one last prac before before break camp!
